Pamela Marlow

Pamela Marlow, 82, of Tamaroa, passed away at 1:44 p.m., Sunday, June 15, 2008, at her residence.

Pam was a homemaker.  She was of the Methodist faith.  She was a member of the Du Quoin V.F.W. Auxiliary and Du Quoin American Legion Auxiliary.

She was born January 29, 1926, at Chester, England, the daughter of Alfred Charles and Catherine (Drury) Moore.

She married Lyle Junior Marlow on February 9, 1952, at Chester, England, and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2000.

She is survived by one son, Lyle Dean Marlow and wife Bonnie of Tamaroa; one daughter, Catherine Jo Steely of West Frankfort; five grandchildren, Brittany Marlow Bencie of West Frankfort, Ian Scott Marlow of Tamaroa, Cody James Steely of West Frankfort, June Allyson Steely of West Frankfort, and Samantha Paige Meredith Steely of West Frankfort; three brothers, Howard Moore of Chester, England, Brian Moore of Hanbridge, England, and Richard Moore of Chester, England; and her pet companion, Samson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, James Steely; one brother, Gordon Moore; and one sister, Thelma Moore.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 19, at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Arven Kirkpatrick officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
